This is info that should be easily available to new users of FMS:

Download FMS 2.0 Alpha 8.5

Don't try to fix the funny looking, white shadows casted from the model. (realistic shadows are disabeled until FMS is made compatible in the future with newer versions of video cards. So is the menu regarding shadows (all white text, only radiobuttons and checkboxes left)

If you use a joystick, you have to configure the correct channels for elevator, rudder, ailerons and trottle in the joystick calibration/setup. Unless you like to trottle up with left rudder, that is.

Have fun & wait for FMS 3.0 :p

(Thanks for making a freeware as good as FMS. Despite some minor bugs, it is an awesome simulator. It should be mandatory for newbees to R/C flight)

EDIT: I found some notes for installation of FMS 2.0 Beta 7.0 on the Danish download page. But on that page, the most recent version for download vas FMS 2.0 Alpha 8.3. Strange. The information/downloads varies slightly on the various language download sites. This is not good.

Most video cards can display dark shadows. Only some with older drivers have problems. Check the "True Alpha" check box under the [Graphics] [Options] menu item.
