The latest version of FMS fixes the lack of scrolling problem while pausing FMS plus includes a new basic .par editor from the authors.

As most of you already know, the current version alpha 8.4 was quickly upgraded to alpha 8.5.

V.2 alpha 8.5
From all I can see this version is far superior.
Loads all my landscapes, Handles after crashes admirably ( without flying parts however), can use V. 2.7 models without difficulty. Nice graphics handling, an included Par editor.
I think I'm finally ready to make the switch from v.2.7.

Hi Fans,
i used version beta2.7 with w2k and ppJoy with parallel Port interface and it was wworking fine with my multiplex mc3010 radio control. Tried to upgrade and check the new version 8.05. After installation i cant start the fms anymore. A message is popping up saying that fms has produced an error and will be stopped. It doesn't start. ???
Any idea, what might happen and how to solve the problem? Youre help would be highly appreciated.

Hallo,

All I can do is: :p . Waaaaw, the Par-editor is GREAT. At last I can make a bit my first own experiments in this par-file. I am happy that somebody saw the potentional of a good par-editor. I was working on one (see former posts in .. euh ... I forgot which section of this forum), but I see my work is no longer needed. This editor even outruns my expectations by FAAAAAAAAAAAR. Great work!

Once the exams are done (I am a teacher), I will make my first FMS8 par for a model of the Mehve of the manga-film Nausicäa. Hope to have it finished before the end of the year.

Is there some way to make the points in the editor having different colours for their function? Wheels (green), (collision (red) and so on? Sorry if this question is rather stupid. I had no time yet to view the full help-file. Could only overrun it quickly.

I can only dream that I was some kind of help in the development of this editor. Probably, I wasn't. Anyway, the work is done by a expert. THANKS.
