Please Help Me! - How to hook up VG400 to FMS

Can you give me a little help?

I installed FMS on my computer without any problems. At the moment, I'm using a 2-axis joystick through a game port to control the elevator and ailerons. This is a clumsy interface due to having to use the keyboard to manipulate the throttle and rudder.

Now I would like to use my Airtronics VG400 radio. My computer has parallel, serial, and USB ports available. My questions are:

1. Which port should I use?

2. Are there any instructions or diagrams available on how to make the connection between my VG400 and the appropriate port?

3. Is there an inexpensive commercially made unit?

Thanks for the info. However your list of vendors has just created more confusion for me! Is there a preferred port? Is there a preferred vendor?

Which interface type is best depends on what operating system your PC is running. There are many reliable vendors. If you read the forums a little you'll see loads of recommendations....also it depends where you live.
