COM port setup - Resources button is disabled under XP

Hi,

I am trying to use FMS 8.3 on WinXP PRO. It works with keyboard fine, but if I wanted to setup it for usage with my RC tx, I am not able to setup COM port - I choose Parallel / serial IRQ interface, but Resources button is grayed. Please, could anybody help me with this?

Marek,

You can use a parallel connection with W2K, XP if you use the PPJOY software for converting the signal into a virtual joystick port. See other posts under the parallel interface section of this forum.

Otherwise, buy a serial-PIC or USB interface for your transmitter.

Thanks for the hint. Do you know anybody, who offers the cables (PIC os USB) over internet?
