trouble with connecting to parallel port

Can someone help me with the following problem?

I connect a HiTec 4ch to the PC parallel or Seriell port.

When setting up FMS i choose "controls" and "analog Controls" to calliber the RC sender, but in the window that appear I can not choose parallel /seriell IRQ interface (the resource and calliber menues are grey and is not selectable)

I use a Compaq Evo N600c notebook with Windows 2000

I have tried both the 2.0 beta 7 and the 2.0 alpha 8.3, but it won't work.

Anyone know how ti fix this?

I had a simmilar problem with my IBM Thinkpad R40, and everything works fine after I changed paralel port setting to ECP mode. (...try all modes you have ...)

Do not forget to change "paralel / serial IRQ-interface 32-Bit-VXD" resources to "LPT1".

(Sorry, I forgot to say..)
Paralel port interface works with Windows98 only. If you want to use win2000, better to use PIC interface.

Win2000 has no direct access to paralel port, so FMS cannot read transmiter stream, you have to convert it by PIC interface.
