Just wondering why FMS does not work in 3D Stereo ?

I thought this worked for all 3d games based on direct3d. Maybe there is a small tweak you can do to get it working since it will add another degree of realism to this fantastic sim !!

FYI. The 3D stereo panel and latest Nvidia drivers can be downloaded free from here and work for all Nvidia cards...

They even work with the standard Red and Blue glasses if you do not own the LCD shutter type.

Ok got it working with ver81 and 82. Go to Window the select a resolution (1024x768). Press Ctrl-T and away you go.

BUG - When I switched from Keyboard to Joystick the 3D went all funny and stopped working

Can you please see why this is happening ?

I notice when selecting driver it only gives xp/2000 but if you download it say xp/2000/9x/me , does that meen it will work with 98 as well, I use xp for use and I daul boot in 98 for use of fms , coz I still got a serical inteface, please tell me more on how this work , do I need any fancy glasses, please tell me more

Sorry I am using XP with PPJoy and my Zhen Hua that came with the Dragonfly micro heli.

I dont know if the stereo panel will work with ME/98 I dont see why not.

If you dont have the LCD shutter glasses you can use the red/blue ones that come with Shrek3D or Spykids3D DVD and select Anaglyph mode from the Advanced Stereo Properties tab. Make sure you set all your stereo refresh rates to 60hz since only the LCD glasses require 100Hz or greater. The red blue glasses dont look as good but you get the effect.

Looks like the bug only existed with my Microsoft FF2 joystick. 3D is working great now with the Zhen Hua even though it is also running as a standard joystick ?

It looks absolutely awesome. Especially when you get the tail rotor in your face.

??? I'm a serious pesamist, I don't think this will work with my comp, but this sounds too cool not to give it a try. Down loading now so we shall see.

:0 Woe, never mind. I wont install anything that tells me I have to turn off my anti-virus to install. Never had any program ask this before {and on one forum I'm know as stan the demo man}. That just sets off too many parinoa alarms.

it is not a problem I dont evan havea antivirus and it asked me the sam thing, just click yes to go on any way, but if you vga card dont have a nvidia chip set it will not work

It's was an overhead render from terragen. didn't turn out so good. so I replaced it.

So have you tried it yet. I just want to know if you think its as cool as I do...

PS. Dont go overboard with the Antivirus. Please switch it off when you play games or you will get lower framerates. Yes, leave it on when reading emails and browsing unknown web sites but thats all...

Most virus scanners will let you right click and scan a file before you install it anyway... If you cant trust drivers from NVidia then you must really be paranoid.

I can't believe you are giving up so easy ?

Just right click on the desktop - click properties - advanced - and you should get an extra Tab for Stereo on the advanced panel.

Remember that the nvidia gforce drivers and stereo panel must be matched to the same version.

For the latest, you will need the 61.76 stereo panel and 61.76 drivers from here...

Way to go- thanks for the suggestion. I d/l the driverrs and 3d-stereo stuff and installed it without a hitch. Pulled out the 3-d glasses and dusted them off.

I can't believe the difference. Even in the chase plane I was sometimes wondering if the plane was facing toward me or away from me (can that happen? I think if you drop speed suddenly it can happen, in v8). Now I'm always sure.

I wish that the indicators (rate, vario, height, frames) were displayed for both eyes- it's very hard to read them now. And while flying, sometimes the 3-d system shuts down for a bit- I wonder if the graphics system is being re-initialized to adjust detail level as you move from area to area?

But the plane is much better. Thanks.
