Where's my favorite feature? - Something is missing from 8.2 Alpha

The single most useful feature (to me) no longer functions in version 8.2: The ability to turn "Uncrashable" mode on and off by hitting the "U" key! I have more fun with that than any other single feature, since it allows me to take off right from the point of impact after a crash. Why was this feature removed?
