Rrrrrggg this is irritating me. I d/led 8.1, installed it but when i run it i get an illegal opperation error. So i put 7 back on. I have the latest DirectX and all. Anyone have any idea of how to get it to work?

did you uninstall the previous version of FMS then install the FMS 8.1??
also need more info on problem...May possibly be a bad d/l and need to be redone.

I D/l'd FMS a couple of weeks ago, and it's great fun. Really it is for my Dad who is hoping to return to flying models when he retires and probably needs the practice. But I'm having a great time crashing into things and generally making mayhem... What do you mean that's not the point?

Actually I like the little red one, (Silkywind?) which almost flies itself. I have trouble with the faster things like the Tornado which dissappear over the horizon a little too quickly for me, but its much better than most computergames IMHO.

I may be up to the challenge of building models etc but I dont want to reinvent the wheel. Does anyone know where I might be able to d/l the following modles if they are available?

Electra Fly (Motorised Glider)
Fornier (also a motorised Glider I think)
Mugi (a fascinating model made of folded plastic sheet)

I've actually found a couple of motorised gliders that I think are similar but Dad isnt happy with those. Any ideas?

Yes i did uninstall the old version before installing the new. And i tried D/Ling it twice to see if it was a bad d/l. no luck though. When i double click the icon on my desktop to play the new version i immediately get one of those windows error messages where at the bottom it says "Send" "Don't Send". Do youall know what i am talking about?

yes i know what your talking about ..

have you restarted the machine after uninstalling the FMS..
then installing the new version..

Give you computer and video card specs also..
i'll try to the best of my ability to help you get this straightend out..

Yes i restarted my computer after i uninstalled the old version and after i installed the new version.

I am running a 2 ghz AMD processor
NVIDIA GeForce3 TI 200 (primary monitor)
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 (secondary monitor)
