AS you can tell I'm a new user of FMS....just now downloaded. When I open the program it is in German. How do I get it in English? Maybe I have missed something.

In the original installation, you apparently clicked on German, or somehow defaulted to it. Changing languages is easy though. The second pulldown menu from the right is the language choice. They have made it very clear by including country flags. No US flag, but the Union Jack will give you English.
