I have reviewed the replies to the "New Guy" post concerning applying a .bmp to model. Still can't get my .bmp to show on the model.
Anyone - Please read my procedures below & see if you can see where I'm doing this wrong :
-------------------------------
My FMS aircraft files are located in the following path:
C:\Fltsims\FMS\Model (the UV box was checked when saving the .x file)
test01.par
test01.wav
test01.bmp
test01.x
Settings :
-----
Configuration panel > System >
Tex C:\Fltsims\FMS\Model
Alpha C:\Fltsims\FMS\Model
Bump C:\Fltsims\FMS\Model
Relate File > MQO (this has no effect selected or not)
-----
Material Properties :
1 "Mat 1" associated with object (wing of model)
2 Mapping > tex : test01.bmp
(If the .bmp has an existing pattern, it will display on ball - top of the Material Properties panel).
-----
Select Command > Paint -
The paint box displays - (If the .bmp has an existing pattern, it will display on paint screen).
Select Brush & color - Begin painting wing of model.
Dialog box : "Are you sure to begin drawing ?" > Select Yes
I can now paint on model & can see paint being applied on the paint screen only. I can also apply paint directly to paint screen.
Close out paint screen & Save model as test01.x (UV box checked)
Open FMS & select test01.par aircraft - I can now fly my model OK but it's still white.
What's wrong ?? ???
Thanks - Appreciate anyone's help
