Need Help Please - Printer port/radio problem

Could some one please advise me as to how to set up the program to use my Futaba skysport 4 radio through the printer port. I purchased the program with the cable for the printer port and have installed the program but cant get the radio to work but it will work from the keyboard. What do i need to do to resolve this problem. And please remember i am somewhat computer illiterate. Thanks

First we need to know what version of Windows you have on your computer. If it is Windows XP or 2000 then you have the wrong type of "cable". Those printer port interfaces do not work with the newer operating systems.

O.K. I understand you have Win 98. No more private messages please, let's keep discussions in the forums so others can help or perhaps benefit from them (use Add Reply rather than Send Msg).

Perhaps you'd like to say what you've tried so far. The basic set up is Controls/Analog Control, select either of the Parallel/serial entries then in Resources select LPT1, then in Mapping/Calibration hit Calibrate and follow instructions. Let us know what happens.

Iam having the same problem.Futaba skysport 4,win 98,using printer port,cable supplied with trans.I can go to controlls and calibrate and set but when i go back there is no responce.I downloaded, tried,uninstalled,downloaded,tried,uninstalled lost!!!!!!

If your radio calibrates correctly in the mapping/calibration screen i.e. blue bars go up and down smoothly and centre correctly, then either you have not completed the calibration or perhaps you just need to set the channel mappings up on the LH side of the screen.
