Interface troubles

I just got a cable a i bought for my hitec focus 4. I bought it from cowley enterprises. I am trying to get it to work with FMS however I am unsure of how this is supposed to be done. I go to the Controls->Analog Control menu option and I see there is a serial/LPT option there how ever I cannot calibrate it or do anything. I am using the latest version of FMS. Any suggestions on how to make this work?
