Hi all
just tried the FMS software which is great, as i am new to RC aircraft.

i need some help in locating a model of the SILKYWIND400 as this seems very easy to fly.

any ideas where i can buy one from in the uk.

There is a Silkywind 400 in the FMS extra planes section.

Sorry about reply to finging Silkywind. I didn't read your post carefully enough. The shipping from U S A should not be to expensive. I have a Silkywind and it is a great looking and flying model.

Al's Hobbies in North Finchley (North London) had one in stock the other day.

It was finished in red, just like the model in FMS.

Cost about Â£149, which is rather expensive for a speed 400 kit, IMHO.

It is a very nice plane, but you may also want to consider a an alternative ARTF kit called 'New Timer' which is distributed by J Perkins.

It isn't quite as pretty in my eyes as the Silkywind, but the design parameteres are virtually identical (I don't think this is a coincidence) with a pylon mounted wing, streamlined fuselage and classic lines.

The main difference is that it costs Â£100, which will leave you 50 quid spare for some pukka batteries and charger (I recommend lithium cells, they're superb).
