Hi, welcome aboard!
Yes, you can connect your Remote-Control to FMS.
There are several different ways:
1.) You can buy a cable for the PC's serial port. Then you can use FMS' built in functionality. Some people reported problems with that. But in gerneral it works fine.
2.) You can buy a cable for the USB port, then your RC is detected as a standard 4-axis joystick, which can be used in FMS without any problems.
3.) You can buy a parallel port cable. Then it's the same like under point 1.
4.) You can buy a simple audio cable and use a special cost-free software named SmartPropo, which uses the soundcard to recieve the RC's signals.
In case you will buy a Futaba FX-14/18 (which I have), it is extremely simple and works fine.
Of course, if you'r used a bit in soldering you can create the cables on your own... Have a look into the FMS-link page, there some links to solutions for self-made-cables.
If you'r interested in the SmartPropo-solution please have a look into the .
In general you can say that the USB solution is the most expensive one, the SmartPropo solution is the cheapest one.
The serial cable is only cheap if you solder it by yourself. A commercial one has in most cases an intermediate price.
