Model is too Stable! - How do I correct this?

I've downloaded a model of the A-1H Skyraider, and am tryinhg to change its flight characterisitcs to match those of my Global Kits A-1H. Most of it I can tweak, no problem. But the FMS model is too stable- it flies like a trainer. Any time I make an aileron turn and then center the sticks, it immediately levels off, like my old PT-60. It should continue turning until I apply opposite aileron.

I suspect the model has too much dihedral built into it, but I don't see any way to modify this. Can someone give me a suggestion on how to fix this? Thanks.

You need to adjust the flight model in the *.par file.
(I seem to be telling a lot of people this lately!)
For this you need Par Designer, there is a link on my site.



I'm pretty sure you can adjust the dihedral effect of the wing in there.

I guess that the values for the inertia moments are too low.
If you rise them you get more the feeling of weight.
Try increasing them step by step.

If you want an effect that using elevators will cause a drifting tail while flying curves slowly, you should reduce wingarea and or increase weight. But you have to adjust the liftgradients too.
