I just started this hobby and I don't have much money to spend on flight-sim's...

after buying a Multiplex Cockpit MM

I suggest to only let the people pay how wants to pay, this way the simulator can stay free of charge and development can go on...

Maybe they can offer different licenses for the game. Maybe free users can only fly two hours a day. And full license users can fly whenever they want for how long they want..

Those who won't, wont.

If you implement restrictions, people will crack the software, and pass around illegal copies.

... It's the way things work. Look at any games these days. Those who are going to buy it, still buy it. Those who weren't going to buy it anyways, just burn a copy.

It would suck to see it start like this. FMS is one of the best simulators out there.

If he fixes the Radeon9700 Issue, i'll drop 15 bucks USD into his paypal account (if he has one).

The worst thing about selling software is that you need to support it, and if itâ€™s free you have nothing to worry about. There is no rush to get the ATI problem resolve, beggars canâ€™t be choosers.

As soon as someone start asking money for FMS you'll have to make sure that you keep the program 100% compatible with all the PC setup 's out there

If I have, Aerofly, and my new Radeon card doesnâ€™t work, I could log a call to there helpdesk and request an update for this problem, and they'll have to help me or its money back...

Things get complicated when payment is involved, I bet you if you would like to donate some money for future development there will be someone that is more that willing to accept

What about donations? That way there still doesn't have to be support but the developers get thanks for what they have done?

I know I would donate as I think this program is excellent!

have you got too much money????? whats on with you??? there are so many users who don't have the money and they are really happy, that this software is free!!! i don't know why this software is free, but i hope in future it also will be free, because there are many usres who don't have the money!! and if you really have so much money make the programmers a present a send them thousand of dollars but stop this "I will bay for it"!!!
i'm sure that i'm speaking in the name of many people: The FMS is the best simulator and we love it! And please keep it free!!! We need the programm!
