Rudder channel stopped working on Wild Hawk

Rudder channel stopped working on Wild Hawk

Postby mbarrett » Wed Mar 16, 2011 2:38 am

I'm a newbie, just got my Esky controller a couple of days ago. After "flying", i.e. crashing the Pits and SU-26 many times, I downloaded a Wildhawk simulation file and flew that. (I've bought the Harbor Freight model too for later). I set the simulation up with rudder on 1, pitch on 2, throttle on 3 and things were going very well. But then I would take off and sometimes find no rudder control on the flying model. The bars in the calibration window were working just as expected. Recalibrating, and/or reloading the model and/or restarting the program would eventually restore rudder operation.
However today the rudder does not work at all to affect the flying Wildhawk model. The calibration bars work fine. The rudder does work (today) on the Pitt and SU-26. but not on the Wild Hawk.
I have not modified the Wildhawk simulation files - which I downloaded from http://gunnerson.homestead.com/files/fms_models.htm (Thank you Gary).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the FMS software, but no joy.
Any ideas what has gone awry? And how to fix it?

The Wildhawk is a 3 channel airplane so the rudder is mapped to the aileron channel in the .par file. Edit the .par file and change it if you want the rudder to be on the rudder channel. -- ggunners
