Using FMS with ESky HoneyBee

Using FMS with ESky HoneyBee

Postby Bill Sibley » Fri Oct 29, 2010 3:48 pm

Hi everyone,
I have just bought an ESky HoneyBee helicopter for a first attempt at RC flying. It was packaged with the FMS. First problem I found was that it does not work with Vista. Apparently Microsoft do not include D3DRM.dll on this OS. However I also have an XP unit which I loaded with the sim and it seemed to work. However when I plugged my 4-channel RC unit in from the helicopter nothing worked. I have looked into the <CONTROLS> menu and have selected the bottom interface. I have also watched the video included with the program. Unfortunately I cannot read Chinese so am unable to follow the calibration. I did try changing the settings as shown in the video, but I can get no movement from the blue bars when I move the controls around. Is there something else I should be doing, or is there anywhere where I can read a simple guide to setting up the FMS for helicopter flying. Would greatly appreciate any help out there.

Try some searching for Esky HoneyBee and you may find some details.

Some have said that you may have to flip a switch to turn the mixing off before simming and then flip it back to fly.

Many thanks ggunners. There is a switch (spring loaded) on top of the unit marked <TRAINING>. I'm not sure how you use it as both hands should be on the sticks when you are flying, and this switch springs back when released. I'll try looking for Esky Honeybee and see what comes up. Many thanks again.
