I've been using V2 Beta 7 for some time. I uninstalled it and installed 8.5. 8.5 will not start. Tried a couple of times. Re-install of Beta 7 still works.
Any ideas? Is there anything that must be removed other than running windows add/remove programs?

This...that's how one of my PC was.
if your PC only has USB ports, 2.7 will run but 2.8 will error.
Just follow the instructions posted by Bunker
