Hey,
In a word, no, FMS does not offer a first person view, primarily because it is a true RC simulator. I believe one of the other sims, Pre-Flight, offers a first person view, but you'll need to build/buy the interface cable for your transmitter.
Are you new to remote control helicopters in general? What model and transmitter do you have? Is it an inexpensive arf with radio, or a built up kit with a multi-channel programmable radio? There is a difference.
If brand new to RC helis, you would be doing your model a favor by searching for articles on how to fly RC helis and then use FMS in it's natural state for training. Do not use the auto zoom functions, as this is not at all realistic. RC heli flying, unlike fixed wing aircraft, is more up close and personal flying. As the heli gets further away, it is more difficult to determine orientation, which is of the utmost importance.
To start out, try to get the heli at chest level, tail facing you, and just practice hovering in place. This is the first move in the field.
If you look at the links page of this forum, there are sites that have models of helis on trainer pods (Hirobo Shuttle, which is the model I have). PM me with your email address if you cannot locate it.
Best of luck,
Dave
