Black areas around trees

Wow this started in 2002 and last reply a few days ago.... I guess things get answered a little slow LOL (joking)...

I had the same problem. It looks like a black square net around the tree. I opened the tree.bmp file and selected the black. Then deleted it and filled it with pure black (all values 0). That fixed it. I think it may be that someone didnt make sure it was pure black when they made it.

Another thing you can do, if you won't wanna replace a vedio card
just to run FMS
after you open the .scn file. i use notepad.
Just erase all the(objects) trees texture text and mesh numbers out of the file.
If you get tired of that gray run way, just repaint it to whatever color
to want, make it as long as you want or as wide as you want. on the
runway .bmp file

I used to replace "Tree" with "othertree" but recently I found that the tree pictures are indexed .bmp files (8 bit per pixel, 256 colour combinations at all). The "Tree" which is black on my screen has got RGB value of (000) which is black. If it is converted to RGB instead of "indexed" it is OK.

Make sure it has Transparent on the end.
