I've downloaded the file that's supposed to have modesl and scenery for FMS, but I can't see any way to make them work.
What am I missing here ?

It might help if you could tell us the URL you downloaded the file from ... there's Metasequoia bits and pieces all over the 'Net.

The file is Metasequoia sample data download, near the bottom of the tutorial.

you have downloaded the Metaseqouia2.2 !!! This Programm must be registed.
You should be download the MetaseqouiaLE !!
Than you can save the file a .x - files.
