I use a playstation like gamepad.
I guess I can soilder a resistor to one of my TX that i don't use.

The gamepad allows me to trun the gain dowm, as i would do to my programable TX to adjust the input curve not the expo's

My Futaba feels a heck of a whole lot different then my Hitec., thou.
So it would be relatively difficult to tell what's real or not.
I don't like flying other's models to begin with anyway.
Their set up just feels totally different.
Plus it takes me time getting use to any of my models anyway,
becuase they all have different flying charecteristics.

So to make a transition from a sim would bascially be like
getting use to flying a different model.

I also trun off the fix camera , this allows me for a greater view.
FMS models actaully can go from coner to coner of the screen unlike
other sims where the model only floats around the center of the screen.

I also trun off the auto zoom, realisticly in real R/C flying I'm not
going to be able to auto zoom, but a sim will help me in models
oriantations. A zoom feature is nice to have at first.

true there are model for FMS that's totally not tuned.
But that's not totally a bad thing for me, becuase sometimes
a lot of wierd things can go wrong in R/C and each sernario
is different. Using FMS for this propose would greatly help
me incase i get in trouble.
i guess a flame out feature would be nice to have too.

I found some model simulate pretty close to how i would
have my model set up.

You can also edit the .SCN files via NOTEPAD.
This will allow you to adjust the pilot posistioning and
camera posistion. You can always set the model a little bit
off center and use pratice using the rudder to make minor
corrections.

Nope, i'm not expecting a simulator to replace the real thing.
And hopefully a newbie will not assume a simulator will replace
an instructor. I guess it would be nice too if a sim would simulate
start up proceedures, The do's and don'ts around spining props
or rotors. You gatta have finger to control the sticks...

yeah,.. FMS is pretty slow in developement.
The landing strip at my flying club is just not as smooth.lol
A programed in nose over would be cool.
