Tail Rotor

When you are learning to fly A RC helicopter what is the most common or the proper way to use the tail rotor? Flying a full size helicopter to turn left you move the Cyclic Stick to the left and push the left pedal and you turn to the left. Now with the Syma 9093 DragonFly (a gift to get me started) when you use the left stick on the transmitter and you push it to the left the helicopter turns to the right. Now if this is the right or the proper way to use the tail rotor, If so I will need to reset the mapping in FMS to learn to fly RC helicopters properly. If not then something is wired backwards I take it. Inexpensive controller no switches to reverse the left stick.

When pushing the stick left, the helicopter should rotate anti-clockwise and when pushing the stick right, it should turn clockwise (looking from a birds-eye view).

Thank you for the reply I'm new to RC and had setup FMS and had been practicing with push stick left helicopter turns, rotates left or anti-clockwise as in your explanation. But when I went to fly the RC helicopter the reverse happened. I didn't crash or break any thing because of this so I feel lucky so far. I opened up the transmitter to see if I could reverse the wires to correct the problem. This is an inexpensive helicopter so no luck on a easy wire switch. So I think I will switch the wires that go to the tail rotor motor and see if that will work.
