Something to consider - Trim Adjustments

It would be nice if the software allowed users to make trim entries to the elevator, rudder, aileron, and engine thrust lines. If it cannot be done in a pop-up window the par file could contain the necessary lines so that edits could be made.

Some of the aircraft I have downloaded are so far out of trim that they are almost impossible to fly. It should not be necessary to hold rudder or elevator to obtain straight and level flight. On some models the engine thrust makes the models so unstable that they almost unflyable. A slight adjustment to the thrust line can turn a monster into a great flyer.

It would be great if the elevator had separate entries for up and down angle limits. This would make inverted flight easier.

Just a few things to think about as you are working on the next version of FMS.

All these parameters are editable with Mr. Masuoka's ParEdit.exe file located .

I agree with you 100%. I also created a program that only allows adjustment of typical parameters in the field. You can use my FMS .par Plane Field Editor located on .

It would be nice if there was an axy damper becuse my tx is more sinsative on one side then the other, it's not bad just an idea sorry for the spell

I've added the CG into the plane field editor. You can now adjust the CG too. Here's the URL:



There are 3 parameters, x, y and z.

+X = forward
-X = backward
+Y = right
-Y = left
+X = down
-X = up

It's still the old version, dated October 2004.

When I download it, it's dated 3/2/2006. Check your browser or computer cache and see if it's pulling an old file.
