What is the exact FMS settings 4 HiTec Eclipse7 TX - newbie has nemorous questions! HawkSport

Hello everyone, fellow Newbie here with no Heli expert within 50 miles and finally admitting the obvious, ME NEED HELP!!! TX programming is beyond me for now, so as for using my FMS, someone who knows helis please help me the village idiot get my settings right!...OK, my heli is a century Hawk Sport(all stock pretty much & from what my local hobby shop owner told me, in perfect shape). Hawk Sport Heli and my TX is a Hitec Eclipse 7 QPCM. I bought a USB interface that connects my Eclipse 7 to my comp. and it even works when I launch FMS. Problem is it just doesnt seem like I ever have gotten the settings right in the FMS callibration page. For my heli and TX, can an expert please just point me in the right direction and let me know what numbers to use(1-8?) for "tail"nick"roll" "pitch"rudder", etc...all I know is throttle is 3(heck i really don't even know that for sure) and also with my TX do I need to mess with the correspoding boxes next to those numbers in the callibration section? "Inv & Exp"? If so, help! I just hate to practice on a simulator when I may be possibly learning just how NOT to fly in reality. Anybody with a little time to spare I would be so gracious in your help with this as I am so anxious to finally have my own Heli (lifetime wish), finally could (barely)afford one, and so ready to prove to my R/C "monster truck" neighbors that I can do this! So many other questions mostly reg. what settings to input in the TX but thats a whole other Opera. I know its a long shot to find someone kind enough to take time out of their life to help a rookie get the basics down and I've never used a forum like this before for help, usually just try to find the answers I need by reading through everyone elses, but today I have decided its all systems go! I live about 50 miles from the nearest city and r/c club and plan to join(when gas prices go down!) take new ACRO model (not HELI), reset it to be sure.
Name it FMS e.g.
Select PPM and not (Q)PCM.

Now for FMS:

Rudder 4
Elevator 2
Ailerons 1
Throttle 3
Repeat exact same channel sequence for helico functions.

Use 'revert' if necessary
select exponential if too sensitive

Select interface appropriate to your cable and any additional soft (PPJoy, smartpropo).
Do calibration.

Have fun.

NOW WERE TALKING....Your the man! oh man I checked other post and whew, thought you were gonna hunt me down for my mistake! THANKS a million for taking the time to help me here. the info is just what i needed. Another question though, I had my Hawk Sport (bought used) started in the backyard yesterday and no matter what I do, what I change, pitch, throttle, etc.. the engine revs up like a crazy lady loud as can be but the heli just will not no matter what I do lift up even a few inches. I am not even ready to hover high yet and know better than to think I could safely control the heli yet but whats the problem here??? I know about the washers in the blade grips must be correct - done that, adjusted the setting on the .32 engine from lean to rich back to lean, and still NOTHING. I personally think God is playing one of his cruel little games with me, it's seriously looks like the heli is trying to go down instead of up! (I KNEW I should have bought a new helicopter and not a used one dangit)! Any suggestions for the village idiot here???

For a REAL heli, you will (most of the time) need to set an HELI model in your transmitter. It all depends on your heli type (collective pitch?, cyclic arrangement?,...)

AND, you will need to ask your questions in a REAL heli forum e.g.
- www.rcuniverse.com
- www.rcgroups.com
- a.s.o.

But before asking, read some topics dedicated to beginners and use the 'search' function.
Google.com will also find other RC heli dedicated forums for you.

PS: Joining a club for some advice, even if 50 mi far, will certainly be useful to begin.

Here is a reply from another village idiot !!!! I found out that real helicopters have the tendency of committing suicide the moment they decice to take off . keep it simple and simulate less costly if you ask me, but good luck in your endevour
