admire123,
For small park flyers I use between 1 and 2 meters per second for the wind with .1 to .3 gusts. I also use 280 degrees in the world.scn landscape as it corresponds pretty well to wind coming down the runway.
The FKStick8 model will fly barely at 6 m/s and take off vertically. It's a real challenge to fly.
Larger and more powerful models would need larger wind and gusts to notice them. Figure 5 to 15 m/s for those models.
If you fly at places with steady wind, then gusts should be zero but gusts are what makes the flying more realistic.
Hope that helps.

P.S. Google can help converting mph to m/s.
1 m/s = 2.237 mph.
