my FMS just doesn't recognize my TX

my FMS just doesn't recognize my TX

Hello!

I just bought E-Sky Lama V3 and it comes with this winderful FMS.

version 2.0 Alpha 8.3

I installed it and connected my TX to usb port. Te FMS actually runs but it doesn't respond to any input in the sticks. It is as if it is totally disconnected.

I have win XP Home Edition, Pentium 4, 1GB ram and plenty of hard disk space.

I go to games/controls under control panel and it seems it is ok.

But FMS just doesn't respond to TX input. Not even for calibration, it is as if TX was dead.

Do I have to use use it with batteries? to turn it on? well I tried with batteries and turned on but it still doesn't work!!

please help

thanks!

When you say "I go to games/controls under control panel and it seems it is ok." do you mean that all controls move and it calibrates correctly ?

If that's right then it's most likely that you have other game controllers connected. FMS uses the first controller in the list so move it up the list if it's not at the top.

No, I didn't mean that

Hi Steve, thanks for replying.

Well, no. When I go to "Game controllers" under "Control Panel" a windows pops that shows "Controller" and it says PPM and under "Status" it shows "Ok". I have no other controllers installed and never had. This is the first time I connect stuff like this to my PC.

Then, when I go to "Properties" and "Calibrate", it shows some strange stuff like colored bars, X/Y axis and things like this so Im supposed to use the sticks and calibrate but nothing happens, I move the sticks and nothing happens, absolutely nothing!!

When I run FMS, I go to "Controls" then "Analog control" then "Joystick interface" then "Resources" and it shows a window:

Microsoft pc joystick driver
Number of axes: 5
State: Active

and then five blue colored bars and a sixth one grey colored. I move the sticks but nothing happens.

Then I go to "Mapping/Calibration" instead of "Resources" and Calibrate button and it shows eight bars, and it says "Move the sticks several times...." I do but nothing happens, nothing!

Do I need to use batteries in my TX?

I did it and nothing happens, not matter if I turn on the TX, nothing happens!

Are batteries needed?

And I know my TX works because I can fly my Lama V3

By the way, the USB connector keeps red flashing all the time. Is it good? bad? normal?

Thanks!!

You will definitely need the batteries in. You probably need to be switched on too....but I'm not certain, I don't know your particular TX and some do, others don't.

Sorry I can't help more.

hi steve!

now it is working, yes, for some reason now it works with batteries and turned on.

Im using esky ppm TX for lama v3 coaxial helicopter.

according to e-sky web page, you don't need batteries, but actually you need it.

I think it is a waste of batteries!

thanks!
