Problems running FMS 7 & 8.5

I have a Toshiba satelite Pro 4600 with Win2000 and I can't run FMS 7 or 8.5, my PC blue screens and re-boots, I suspect it's a graphics card problem but not sure. Has anyone any ideas??

Also I am able to run FMS 6 ok but cannot control it from my transmitter via the parallel port, does anyone out there know how I can achieve this with FMS 6
