8.2 Alpha problems - Problems with 8.2 Alpha

I selected the 1024x768 resolution and the FMS window opened full screen, but I lost the menu bar and cannot get it back. Even when I shut down and restart FMS, it now opens in a window with no menu bar. How do I get the menu bar back?

Also, in the default resolution that 8.2 came up in initially, the trees appeared with big black squares around them. What's up with that?

to get back the menu bar just press F12. For the black squares, try updating your graphics driver to the newest version. This might help.

I also have this problem. I have a GeForce 4 card. New drivers didn't help.

If you click on the spot where the choice should be, it shows up.

The various screens you encounter on your computer can run at different resolutions. The highest is dictated by your monitor. It only makes sense to run FMS in the highest for the greatest detail.

Go to your desk top and right click on it. Next click on properties and finally settings. Try selecting different resolutions or screen sizes and notice how your desktop changes! Also note that the various parameters that define your screen will have to be re-adjusted with changes in the resolution (check out Appearance).

What I suggest is running the desktop at the lowest resolution and FMS at the highest. When you first bring up the pgm, set the resolution. FMS will then reload and the pgm will then be running in the different resolution. To get back to the initial screen, hit esc.

Incidentally with each screen, you'll have to re-adjust your monitor so the screen will properly fit it.
