ok, heres problem...

I made a plane in meta...
I exported it is a .mqo and a .x
Now how do I get a par?
I tried "pareditor" on the .x file but it gave me an error saying "DXFILEER_BADFILETYPE"

Is there a way around this (short of creating a par from scratch)?

Copy another .par from a model close to yours and rename it with your_model_name.par. Then use paredit to edit the .par file. Paredit will not edit a .x file but it reads it as an input allowing you to see what it looks like compared to the .par files specs.

But the problem is paredit wont read the x file. (What settings do you need to use in meta when export x files?)

You must use Meta LE 2.1 to save as DirectX to create workable .x files. If you have a newer version of Meta, get 2.1 LE. It'll work.
