Limits for trees?? - Limited number of tree objects??

Hi,
I tried to put some 200 trees in to the world landscape but it didn´t work but if I lowered the numder to about 60 it works. Does anybody know if there is a limit to the number of objects that can be rendered?

It also seems that the maximun size of the treeimage for the billboards are 256x256 is that correct?

Never saw any documentation about this.

My "death tower" landscape that uses trees to make panels is close to the maximum for 2.7.

I managed to place 213+ trees in a landscape.
A few notes about it though.

1. I placed only trees
2. The trees I placed were redefined to have only 3 quadrant planes instead of 4.
3. I used 5 different tree bitmap definitions.
4. I used FMS v2.8.5

My impressions were;
Though I verified the number of trees by physically counting them, it sure didn't fill the landscape as nearly as I thought it would.
Trees at a distance might not be rendered to look like much of a tree, get closer though and they can look fairly realistic.

This was used to test the limits of FMSv2.8.5
