Very nube question

Okay,
I just got a USB RC controller.
Is there a diagram that shows what each control should be set for?
You know like throttle, rudder, etc.....

If you mean which stick/movement is associated with which control then there are several different "standards" called Modes. Which is most commonly used on real models depends mainly on where you live (Oz and much of Europe - Mode 1, US and most of UK - Mode 2).
