Hey mates
I got some problems with the latest Version of FMS. The performance is usually very slow. Mostly in window mode. After some modification the textures now show up properly. I turned off smooth textures to actually see it correctly.
What's your point of view on this?
Is the problem maybe my computer(I have a P3, single core?). Do I need a dual core CPU?

A P3 is no racehorse but I would guess your graphics card is very marginal, too. To get good performance you may just have to get a newer PC. You don't need a dual core but if you are going to buy a new machine I would definitely get one with a Intel core 2 duo CPU. These are the best bang for the buck right now.

A new 3D card is all you need. I've upgraded a couple older 500Mhz machines with newer 64M-128M 3D cards and had very good frame rates. Of course, if its time to upgrade, definitely go for the best you can afford.

go to view and uncheck windows mode and select your screen width
