I just bought a great sim it's called r/c Planemaster it comes with planes, landscapes, and has wind affect, gusts, wind direction, turbulance, (which FMS dosen't have), and head to head flying with someone else, and you can even see the smoke from the engine and the prop is spinning too, Plus best of all, the PIC Serial Interface that I bought for FMS WORKS with Planemaster, yippee, and to buy Planemaster is only $50. So, it's cheapest commercial r/c sim out there. If you want to learn to fly a real one you must have wind affect in the sim. Can't wait till I'm ready to fly my real R/C plane, It's a Sig LT-40 fitted with a 61 size engine.
