Hi.
I was running FMS under win98 without any problems.
I'm using a serial interface (build in the connector) and a FC-16.
After installing win XP and reistalling FMS I can't acces the resourses & mapping/calibration menu if I select one of the serial/parallel options by the analog controls.
Can somebody help me with this problem?

Regrettably Microsoft have reduced the functionality of the serial connection with Windows 2000 and XP. The simple two transistor serial connectors use the 'ring indicator' pin rather than the data lines.
The only solution is to use a 'PIC serial' interface. Information on this interface is available via the links e.g. . I have just made a prototype using my own code and it works great. Next stage is to make a PCB. Watch my website below for details (I hope one week).

I managed to squeeze the PIC and other components into the same space as my serial IRQ-interface unit by using SMD components.

How many Euro would a Pic serial interface + post/packing cost?
