Would it be possible?

Many people, myself included asked for wind to be added to the marvellous Beta7. It wasn't. What I wondered is, would it be possible for a patch to be developed to add wind to Beta7? I'd have a go myself but I've no ideas what is required. Just asking.

The reason why there is no wind in the fms beta 7, is not that we wouldn't wan't or have forgotten about it. We have tried already a lot of things when there was only the DOS version, but with the current flight-calculation model (the one from the DOS versions is still used with Beta 7, only modified in details), and we have had always some very bad effects. The models starts jumping around and vibrating ... and there hasn't been any way to solve it. We are developing now on a complete new flight-calc-model, which should be much more general, and also be able to simulate with wind. But there are still many things to do ...
