Airplanes Work Fine; Helicopters Do Not Respond! - FMS Help With Helicopter Needed!

I purchased a USB cable for FMS and I was able to get it to work on FMS airplanes only. When I use the MODEL LOAD menu and switch to a helicopter, moving the control sticks does not appear to do anything to the helicopter. I re-checked CONTROLS ANALOG CONTROLS JOYSTICK INTERFACE MAPPING/CALIBRATION , I do see moving the channels responding.as I move the transmitter sticks. The keyboard does control the helicopter.

I have a JR6102. I tried STANDARD SERVO and I also tried switching on the eCCPM on the transmitter (mixing occurs and it is indicated by multiple channel movement on the MAPPING/CALIBRATION menu). Still no luck.

The cable appears work... what to do next??? :O

For helis, you also need to map the correct channel to the heli function.



Under Mapping/Calibration, the first 4 channels are used for planes, the bottom 4 for helis. You only need to do this once, as it is used for all FMS models.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your help. The helicopter finally comes off the ground. I had to use the following settings:

Rudder: 4
Elevator: 3
Aileron: 2
Throttle: 1

Tail: 4
Nick:3
Roll: 2
Pitch: 1

I'm in the US (Mode 2). Is this correct or am I training myself to do something wrong? I'm just a beginner and tried Reflex at the store. Seems correct, but don't remember.

Also, when I hit the throttle 100%, the tail tries to flip up straight up in the air. Is this correct? I do have CCPM mixing on the transmitter enabled. Should I turn it back off?

CCPM should be OFF! Now everything works fine. You can make a different model on your transmitter for different aeroplanes/helicopters if you like so you can customize it a bit.

FMS works very well and with the right cable, its a good alternative to more expensive sims (coming from a beginner that is).
