Windspeed question in Beta 8

Under simultaion option, it allows you to set the windspeed and gusts in units of m/s. Am I correct in assuming this is meters per second. If so, the conversion I've worked out for miles per hour is .447 meters per second= 1 mile per hour. When I use this conversion factor and set the wind to 2.235m/s to correspond to 5 miles per hour, the plane seems to get pushed around too much. What is the correct conversion for 1 mile per hour to put into there so that I can simulate whatever windspeed I want.

Depending on the airplane, a 5 mph or 2.24 m/s wind speed may push it around quite a bit. Some of these models weigh very little and have large high-lift but high-drag surfaces and small motors to boot. So on light models, use 2 m/s with a .2 m/s gust and you'll be very realistic. Heavier models may require more wind simulation for real effect. Some indoor models will only fly well with zero wind.
