What about relaesing Alpha around Oct. 1, 2001?

We promise not to bother you with stupid e-mails about failing somethind. We'll post our discoveries here, which may be of some help for you.
Working in CAD software development, I know that customers feedback may be of immense help for developers--customers find such bugs, that you can never imagine!

Hi impatient bsergeev,

could you imagine, Roman & Michael Moeller have something more to do but developing a free program made just for fun (fun for themselves and for us)?

I think, there are still some bugs or problems within the program so the developers still have enough employment and need not any additional 'feedback' to get further problems (or the same they already know). I have some comprehension for keeping release beta7 closed until all known bugs are removed.

Perhaps I have to put some blame on me, too. Three weeks ago (just when Michael had a quite good alpha-version) I wrote Michael about several faults or problems to be solved with relatively low expense and I entreated him to include of these improvements as many as possible.

So the longer we have to wait the better the new release will become.

I can easily imagine that Roman & Michael have other things to do besides fixin' bugs in FMS (I only wonder what tests do they take in September--isn't it too early for midterms?).

My point was different: wider Alpha testing may help the guys to reveal more bugs, which they may easily miss otherwise.

Being an FMS fan (and a professional software developer with Airspace background), I'm just trying to make my contribution to this wonderful project. Unfortunately, it's not an open source (I understand technical difficulties of making it open-source) and the only way I can help is by testing the code.
