advise needed on FMS

Hello:

Im new into R/C helis. I just downloaded FMS and Im using it with a Futaba T6XHS. My first question is if its advisable to fully extend the antenna when using the FMS to prevent some damage in the TX

It seems that FMS has sound but Ive been unable to play it, any advise?

Lastly, It seems to be difficult to calibrate the radio accurately, are you expected to adjust the TX ( ATV, D/R, etc) to make a successful calibration ?

I dont think it will hurt the transmitter to use it with the antenna down.....however another option is to remove the crystal located at the rear, the batteries last a lot longer, and your not sending out a signal.

I had to shorten my connector from the transmitter to the computer to get a good connection, and also keep the wire away from the computer to minimize any interference. I know alot of people get glithces in the connection.......this is supposed to be fixed with beta 7, that will soon be released!
