cant get usb and tx to work

i bought fms with the skysport and usb interface cable from ebay. everything went fine until i attempted to calibrate the skysport. there is no movement on the graph. im running win 98. the keyboard works fine but im pretty sure it wont for my future trainer plane. i tried it on my friends xp and it worked fine( i noticed his xp setup the driver without any input where as my 98 didnt) ive gone to toms website and tried all the remedies there with no luck. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks steener
