I'm getting ready to purchase a new transmitter, one that I could use with either a heli or plane and something which would be compatible with FMS, been looking at the Futaba heli 6 channel, any feedback would be appreciated......thanks

Can't comment on Chopper flying haven't tried it yet. But can report on Futaba 6 channel 'Skysport'. I obtained a 'buddy socket'/USB adaptor from ken@welwyn.demon.co.uk which works brilliantly with FMS. I went straight from 'virtual' to 'real' flying after a few dedicated hours at my computer.
It's not that I 'learned to fly' so much, as learned to use the Txr controls. The adaptor is far better, obviously, than a desktop Joystick.
If you want to fly real R/C I can give this rig a hearty endorsement, the one I have has an impressive range.
P.S. Don't forget to remove the Xtal for desktop flying.
