Esky with FMS?

Hi all,
I am really new to R/C flying and it was suggested to me to practice over the winter on a good simulator. I have noticed that on Ebay there are a bunch of people selling a package called Esky and it includes the FMS software. My question is this ... Has anyone used that Esky transmitter and that sim package? How good is it? They seem to be selling for around the $50 mark (which includes shipping). Is that a fair price???

You are certainly right about the 9-pin serial connector. However, I am not looking for the cheapest controller. When I saw that this unit was to be just like the standard R/C transmitter, I thought it might be a way to sharpen my skills over the winter and before I get to the flying field. Was that not a good idea??

Based on what you said, I was able to "sniper" in on one the Esky units this evening. I got it for 29.50. That seems to be an ok price. The pc I am going to put it on is indeed a tower. We have at least one extra machine lying around the house
