Are the interfaced hardware (serial, parallel or PIC) designed specifically for the Flight Model Simulator? Can it be compatible with other flight simulator programmes?
Is it possible to control the Tx using a computer using interfaced hardware?
I heard that there is a Tx to joystick emulator by using an audio cable. Are the effects and simulation as the same as the interfaced hardware?
Please advise.

Yes.
No for those types of interface. It might be possible to make a PIC interface which can be used with FMS and some other sims if you're clever enough at programming but the standard one only works with FMS. Any Tx to joystick (or USB) interface will work with other sims.
