New physics in fms alpha 8 ??

I've noticed the par file is different , but I want to know if that means the physics has changed too.
I've noticed the frame rate is now much lower as compared to the beta 7 version. Why?.
Seems to me there are less "glitches" and "vibrations" now when connected to the parallel port interface. Is that right?
