Helis - Are these realistic?

First of all I must say that this is the best piece of software that I have ever downloaded!

I have a Hoverfly at home and I think that it is far more difficult to control than most of the helis in FMS, so I was wondering, how would all you experienced heli pilots out there compare the real thing to the sim?

I am now becoming quite proficient with the models in FMS, ie, nose in flying, hovering etc; do you think it would be possible for me to take a real model into a field and keep it out of trouble?

I have flown Hirobo Shuttle, Stork and Excel 40.

The helicopters in FMS are realistic in most flight characteristics except for 2 areas. There is no wind affect during flight. The tail does not get pushed by wind in forward flight. (it should naturally try to move 180 degrees opposite of forward flight direction) Also hovering is more stable in FMS.

However... FMS is still a good tool to help you learn to fly a model helicopter. If you use your transmitter and try precision landings with many nose orientations you will likely save yourself from many crashes.
