cant get my FMS to work - prosessor speed?

I can't get my FMS to work at all. I have a five year old Compaq computor that has been up graded w more memory, aprox 124meg, a better vidio card, and XP windows. so I was at toledo trade show and got FMS for xp with a futaba interface cord. With the help of a very good computor builder, no matter what I do the best I can do is get a stop action type movement on the screen.
The question is do I have to slow of processor speed for the XP version. the compaq unit is the 5220 series. should I go back to windows 98 and the matching program or what. I could really use the stick time for I am spending more time building a big shrike aero commander and dont have as much time to get to the feild.

It might help if you said what the processor speed actually is. But 5 years is a very long time in computing. FMS 2.07 runs fine on my PII 350. Have you tried the older version 2.06, that used to work for me on an old 166 MHz PC.

BTW the simple interfaces don't work with XP. Did you get the later microprossor based design intended for XP ? If so that won't work if you go back to FMS 2.06.

sorry! I forgot to say my prosessor speed is 450 mghz. so no that yours was 350 Im stll confused. were you running on XP or another windows
