Model Downloads

Hey I was wondering if the model downloads cost anything and if anyone knows some safe downloads "virus free" because I've had some bad experiences with downloads and would really appreciate some new models

Yeah I did look in Models but they are only images arn't they I thinks links would be the more appropiate forum, but I wasn't sure if they were trusted sites and if they cost anything?
But its ok I'll just try looking around but if I get a virus its your fault thanks Steve

Hi auzzyflyer,

Check in the Models section of this forum. I have never had a problem with any of the downloads posted in there and there is a wealth of free models available. Personally, I think that ggunners models are the very best!

Hey guys, need some help. I down load g-gunners planes, I get a plane to look at on the screen in the program, (esky) & the plane makes a droning engine sound, but the planes won't do anything, anyone else had this problem, Thanks Mike

Are you able to fly other planes in FMS?
Are you running the latest version of FMS - 8.X?

What controller are you using?
Did you set it up in Windows and FMS?

Models sitting on the runway and not moving means you have an FMS 2.8 model that you're trying to fly with FMS 2.7.

Save your model directory, uninstall FMS 2.7, install FMS 2 alpha 8.5. This is the newest version since 2004.

FMS 2.8.5 will fly both 2.7 and 2.8 models and has much improved flight physics, ground handling, multiple collision points and wind.

I,m a newbee at this..I just got the FMS program and all it has is 1 glider, 1, heli, 1 Transall, 1, Pitts , Su 2...
I need a trainer type a/c such as LT-40 or any other SLOW trainer... and how do I get the model and then download it..?

hey there convairman,

It's pretty simple really, when you find a model you want, download the .zip file and
choose to open the file instead of save it, then extract or save the files to the
C:\ Program Files\ FMS\ Model\ directory.

If you do not have the option to open the .zip file, you will need to Google an unzip
utility for your system.
