With that limited information all I can say is either it doesn't have the right output, it's broken, you're connecting it wrong or you haven't set it up correctly.

Hi Steve thanks for replying to my problem. The rc works fine with the helicopter, as far setting up, there`s only four control options including a joystic to choose from. Any ideas?

If you say what transmitter it is, what setting up you've done and what happened when you did it there's a chance someone might be able to help.

Hi steve, my transmitter is a ZHEN HUA PCM-4ch which came with my Jabo mini helicopter. When I load fms, I go to the control icon and click on it, but I`m not familiar with the choices. the choices I get are:-
NO INTERFACE
JOYSTICK INTERFACE
PARALLEL/SERIAL IRQ-INTERFACE-32-BIT-VXD
PARALLEL/SERIAL IRQ-INTERFACE-16-BIT-DLL
SERIAL PIC-INTERFACE

I`ve tried all of these without any joy, but I son`t think any of them corrospond to my transmitter.

Almost all transmitters connect via USB interfaces which make them appear as joysticks. They need to be calibrated in the Joystick mapping/calibration screen before anything happens.

What cable/interface etc are you using to connect your transmitter to the PC and where did you get it from ? Most of the normal interfaces require a PPM transmitter but yours sounds as if it only works in PCM mode so I guess you'd need a specialised interface.
